This iconic Mumbai hotel continues to live up to its reputation of being one of the world’s best hotels with its elegant and expansive suites, views over the Mumbai skyline and Arabian Sea and excellent service.

Day 01 – Sun 2nd Feb

London to Mumbai

Your private chauffeur-driven executive class vehicle will arrive at your chosen location to collect you for your journey to your departure airport ahead of your flight to Mumbai.

Once checked in and through to departures, enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks on us in one of the comfortable airport lounges, regardless of your class of travel.

Day 02 – Mon 3rd Feb

Arrive in Mumbai

Welcome to Mumbai! Upon clearing passport control and entering the arrivals hall, your private transfer will be ready to take you to your accommodation at the 5* Oberoi Mumbai for a two night stay. The rest of your day is at leisure.

Day 03 – Tue 4th Feb

Sightseeing tour of Mumbai

After breakfast, enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Mumbai. This includes visits to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (Formerly known as Prince of Wales Museum) built in grand Indo Saracenic style, drive past Marine Drive, Mumbai’s most popular seaside promenade and see the Kamla Nehru Park and Hanging Gardens on the slopes of the Malabar Hills, offering a nice view of the marine lines and the Chowpatty Beach. Visit Mani Bhawan where Mahatma Gandhi used to stay and the Dhobi Ghat. Drive past the Flora Fountain, the colourful Crawford Market and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Formerly Victoria Terminus Train Station).

Day 04 – Wed 5th Feb

Mumbai to Nagpur

After breakfast, meet your driver for the transfer to Mumbai International Airport for your flight to Nagpur. Upon arrival in Nagpur, you will be transferred to your accommodation at the 5* Le Méridien Nagpur for a two night stay.

The rest of your evening is at leisure.

Day 05 – Thu 6th Feb

First ODI – India v England
Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium for the first ODI match between India and England. Upon conclusion of the match, you will be transferred back to your hotel where the rest of your evening is at leisure.

Day 06 – Fri 7th Feb

Nagpur to Bhubaneswar (via Kolkata)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Nagpur airport to board your flight for Bhubaneswar via Kolkata. Upon arrival in Bhubaneswar, you will be transferred to your accommodation at the 5* Vivanta Bhubaneswar for a four night stay.

Day 07 – Sat 8th Feb

Sightseeing tour of Bhubaneswar

Among the finest of Bhubaneswar’s 600 temples is the 11th-century Lingaraj Temple, the largest in the city. Another prominent temple is the Mukteshwar Temple, built in the 10th-11th century, showcasing the Kalinga style of architecture.

Break for lunch.

Next, visit the ancient caves of Khandagiri and Udaygiri, multi-storied residences carved for Jain monks by King Kharavela of the Mahameghavahana dynasty in the first century BC. King Kharavela expanded the Kalinga empire and implemented public improvements like canal systems. His queen likely influenced the impressive sculptural decorations of the caves.

Day 08 – Sun 9th Feb

Second ODI – India v England
Barabati Cricket Stadium

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Barabati Cricket Stadium for the second ODI match between India and England. Upon conclusion of the match, you will be transferred back to your hotel where the rest of your evening is at leisure.

Day 09 – Mon 10th Feb

Excursions to Puri & Konark

After breakfast, enjoy excursions to Puri & Konark.

Visit the Jagannath Temple which is one of the most sacred pilgrimage spots in India. This 12th century temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath–“The Lord of the Universe”. The wooden figures of the three deities, Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra stand in the sanctorium garlanded and decorated by the high priests.

Your next stop is Konarak Sun Temple. On the shores of the Bay of Bengal, bathed in the rays of the rising sun, the temple at Konarak is a monumental representation of the sun god Surya’s chariot; its 24 wheels are decorated with symbolic designs and it is led by a team of six horses. Built in the 13th century, it is one of India’s most famous Brahman sanctuaries.

Day 10 – Tue 11th Feb

Bhubaneswar to Ahmedabad (via Hyderabad)

Following breakfast, board your transportation for the transfer to Bhubaneswar airport for your flight to Ahmedabad via Hyderabad.

Upon arrival in Ahmedabad, you will be transferred to your accommodation at the 5* ITC Narmada for a three night stay. The rest of your day is at leisure.

Third ODI – India v England
Narendra Modi Stadium

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Narendra Modi Stadium for the third ODI match between India and England. Upon conclusion of the match, you will be transferred back to your hotel where the rest of your evening is at leisure.

Day 12 – Thu 13th Feb

Sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad

After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad. This includes visits to the Heritage walk, Jama Masjid, Sidi Syed Mosque, Hathisingh Jain Temple, Dada Harir Step well & Gandhi Ashram.

Day 13 – Fri 14th Feb

Ahmedabad to London (via Delhi)

Check out of your hotel and board the transportation for your transfer to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport for your flight back to London.

Arrive in London

Arrive into London Heathrow. Once you have passed through passport control and collected your luggage, head through arrivals to meet your chauffeur for your return executive car transportation home.

What it’s like watching cricket in India with Elite Sports Travel

This is the second time we have used Elite Travel for an overseas cricket tour. The first was in New Zealand in February 2023.
