This iconic Mumbai hotel continues to live up to its reputation of being one of the world’s best hotels with its elegant and expansive suites, views over the Mumbai skyline and Arabian Sea and excellent service.

There are 287 luxurious guest rooms including 73 suites with expansive views either over the water or ‘city views’ overlooking Nariman Point. Enjoy a day at leisure exploring Kolkata. Later in the evening, board your transportation to Eden Gardens for the first T20 match between India vs England. Following the conclusion of play your transport will return you to your hotel.

Day 04 – Thu 23rd Jan

Sightseeing tour of Kolkata

After breakfast, enjoy full day city tour of Kolkata including the walking tour of famous Kumartuli area.

Your day will start with the visit to Flower Market followed by drive past Howrah Bridge and then visit Kumartuli. Kumartulli is known for its internationally renowned artisans who craft the most beautiful idols from straw and clay.

Later you will visit Dalhousie Square, St Pauls Cathedral, Victoria Memorial Hall & Indian Museum.

Day 05 – Fri 24th Jan

Kolkata to Chennai

Following breakfast, board your transportation for the transfer to Kolkata Airport for your flight to Chennai.

Upon arrival in Chennai, you will be transferred to your accommodation at the 5* ITC Grand Chola for a three night stay. The rest of your day is at leisure.

Day 07 – Sun 26th Jan

Sightseeing tour of Chennai

After breakfast, enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Chennai

The sightseeing will begin with visit to Fort St. George, which is presently being used by the Tamil Nadu Government. Within the compound is a museum holding many remembrances of the East India Company and the British period.

From the British hold of centre, you will proceed to Mylapore, which was inhabited in the 16th century by the Portuguese and includes a visit the San Thomas Church. Other visits include the Kapleshwar Temple, honoring Shiva, dates back to the 13th century AD and is the biggest temple in Chennai. You will also drive past the Marina Beach, the second longest in the world, stretching for several miles.

Day 08 – Mon 27th Jan

Chennai to Rajkot (via Mumbai)

Following breakfast, board your transportation for the transfer to Chennai Airport for your flight to Rajkot via Mumbai.

Upon arrival in Rajkot, you will be transferred to your accommodation at the 4* Fern Residences for a two night stay. The rest of your day is at leisure.

Rajkot to Pune (via Mumbai)

Following breakfast, board your transportation for the transfer to Rajkot Airport for your flight to Pune via Mumbai.

Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium

Enjoy a day at leisure exploring the city. Later in the evening, board your transportation to Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium for the fourth T20 match between India vs England. Following the conclusion of play your transport will return you to your hotel.

Day 13 – Sat 1st Feb

Pune to Mumbai

Following breakfast, you will be transferred to Pune railway station to board your Vandebharat Express train for Mumbai.

Upon arrival at Mumbai Railway Station, you will be transferred to your accommodation at the 5* The Oberoi Mumbai for a four night stay.

Wankhede Cricket Stadium

Enjoy a day at leisure exploring the city. Later in the evening, enjoy the approx 15-20 minute walk to Wankhede Cricket Stadium for the fifth T20 match between India vs England. Following the conclusion of play, make the short walk back to your hotel.

Day 15 – Mon 3rd Feb

Sightseeing tour of Mumbai

After breakfast, enjoy a half day city tour of Mumbai. The tour includes visits to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (Formerly known as Prince of Wales Museum) built in grand Indo Saracenic style, drive past Marine Drive, Mumbai’s most popular seaside promenade and see the Kamla Nehru Park and Hanging Gardens on the slopes of the Malabar Hills, offering a nice view of the marine lines and the Chowpatty Beach. Visit Mani Bhawan where Mahatma Gandhi used to stay and the Dhobi Ghat. Drive past the Flora Fountain, the colourful Crawford Market and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Formerly Victoria Terminus Train Station).

Day 16 – Tue 4th Feb

Tour of Elephanta Caves

After breakfast, enjoy a tour of Elephanta Caves. Elephanta Caves is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is a fine specimen of rock cut architecture and art of medieval India.

Day 17 – Wed 5th Feb

Mumbai to London

Check out of your hotel and board the transportation for your transfer to Mumbai International Airport for your flight back to London.

Arrive in London

Upon arrival in London, your private executive transfer will be waiting in the arrivals hall to take you back to your home.

What it’s like watching cricket in India with Elite Sports Travel
