 Day 03 – Tue 4th FebSightseeing tour of MumbaiAfter breakfast, enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Mumbai. This includes visits to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (Formerly known as Prince of Wales Museum) built in grand Indo Saracenic style, drive past Marine Drive, Mumbai’s most popular seaside promenade and see the Kamla Nehru Park and Hanging Gardens on the slopes of the Malabar Hills, offering a nice view of the marine lines and the Chowpatty Beach. Visit Mani Bhawan where Mahatma Gandhi used to stay and the Dhobi Ghat.  Day 07 – Sat 8th FebSightseeing tour of BhubaneswarAmong the finest of Bhubaneswar’s 600 temples is the 11th-century Lingaraj Temple, the largest in the city. Another prominent temple is the Mukteshwar Temple, built in the 10th-11th century, showcasing the Kalinga style of architecture. Break for lunch. Next, visit the ancient caves of Khandagiri and Udaygiri, multi-storied residences carved for Jain monks by King Kharavela of the Mahameghavahana dynasty in the first century BC. King Kharavela expanded the Kalinga empire and implemented public improvements like canal systems. His queen likely influenced the impressive sculptural decorations of the caves. |

Day 09 – Mon 10th FebExcursions to Puri & KonarkAfter breakfast, enjoy excursions to Puri & Konark. Visit the Jagannath Temple which is one of the most sacred pilgrimage spots in India. This 12th century temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath–“The Lord of the Universe”. The wooden figures of the three deities, Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra stand in the sanctorium garlanded and decorated by the high priests. Your next stop is Konarak Sun Temple. On the shores of the Bay of Bengal, bathed in the rays of the rising sun, the temple at Konarak is a monumental representation of the sun god Surya’s chariot; its 24 wheels are decorated with symbolic designs and it is led by a team of six horses. Built in the 13th century, it is one of India’s most famous Brahman sanctuaries. |

What it’s like watching cricket in India with Elite Sports Travel
